Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa is a collective of community-based partners who collectively recognise the need to work together to achieve community aspirations.
Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa represents the partnership of Mana Whenua and the collective of partners signed to the Locality Charter in the work towards achieving community aspirations for Otara-Papatoetoe.
Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa is a registered Charitable Trust since early July 2023.
We are working together to develop localized, community led solutions to address and learn to activate solutions for pressing Wellbeing and Health challenges.
What we do
Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa actively participates in collaborative endeavors to activate learning prototypes, that respond to a big picture strategy to help achieve community aspirations. Informed by community voice, Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa, coordinates strategic partnerships across agencies, philanthropic and private groups to developing strategic initiatives, that the village of partners can work together to achieve outcomes that benefit the community.

These intentional and thoughtful interactions are crucial for addressing historical disparities and overcoming challenges. The organization is dedicated to developing a strategy that focuses on purposeful engagement to adapt to the evolving environment, paving the way for collective well-being and prosperity.
Our Vision
The vision of Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa is articulated through the Samoan proverb, ‘E malumanuia le afio’aga ile aiga, E malumanuia for le aiga ile afio’aga.’
Translated in the context of Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa, it references the wellbeing of the local community lies in the family and the wellbeing of the family lies in the locality community.
